Saturday 7th November and it’s The Royal South Australia Yacht Squadron’s turn to host their Season Open & Sail Past. Once again, mother nature had turned on the sunshine with that breeze that turned up for CYCSA and our own Club’s open dropping in for a while to keep everyone cool in their nautically festive best.
Our Commodore Paul Crouch and Alana Smith were in attendance and reported that everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
Led by Commodore Owen Haskett’s boat Mahalo, the boat procession commenced with Juniors, power boats, sailing boats under power and then sailing boats under sail. After “three cheers for the Royal Australian Navy and Commodore”, the focus turned to the Club house where, following the official speeches and canon firing to mark the opening of the season, all guests settled back to enjoy food, drinks and arguably some of the best live entertainment that the Club has seen in many years.
We congratulate RSAYS on their successful open and wish them all the very best for the upcoming season.
